Molly. Just finished More. Thank you for opening up this conversation. Thank you for the ways Poor Things and More are in conversation with each other, and with me :)
As one who has lived in my head-loving the cerebral-and having comfort with it -my whole life, discovery and empowerment through the physical (mainly sex but also exercise in various forms) resonates with me. I went on a sexual discovery in my 40s and 50s-in part through an open marriage and eventually found sobriety, which has given me a mindful presence with both my body and my mind.
And sex-at 59-is better than ever.
Absolutely fell in love with “More.” Thank you for writing it so authentically & so courageously.
Molly! I have to see Poor Things now, wow. The idea of erotic knowledge comprising ALL our deepest knowledge. 🤯 Love how you braid together female eroticism with agency — and how her agency threatens her male suitors.
I was pleasantly shocked by Emma’s Oscar win for Poor Things. I didn’t think people could handle the power of the message with all the nudity and female-forward sex. I love what you’ve said about it here.

Definitely see it, Tolly! I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Love how you’ve woven all these ideas together, M

Thanks, Alyson! I was also thrilled that Emma won!
